He has held C-Suite and senior executive merchandising and marketing roles with companies such as Provide Commerce, Sears, The Sharper Image, SkyMall, and Shop NBC in addition to leading a full service digital marketing agency.

Greg co-founded The Pocket Suite along with Dan and Chris, with the mission to help C-Suite business leaders respond to a disrupted, changing marketplace by focusing on specific, innovative customer – centric marketing strategies and breakthrough experience solutions. Acting as “The Pocket CMO”, Greg specializes in helping businesses address their consumer experience needs at every strategic level. Utilizing a four – phase approach proven through past experiences, The Pocket CMO guides brands and companies through rigorous market segmentation, persona development, customer journey mapping, and value proposition development initiatives. The Pocket Suite team then helps businesses create and implement marketing strategy and customer experience solutions that differentiate their brand in the marketplace.

Prior to co-founding The Pocket Suite, Greg was Chief Consumer Experience Officer at Provide Commerce, where he lead Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, and CIRM efforts for the company’s seven brands.

Greg has built a broad, diverse multi-channel expertise. This diversity also includes experience with start-up business models, where Greg gained valuable international experience by launching catalog businesses in the U.K. and Europe. His understanding of direct response business models has developed an ability to consider a wide range of both quantitative and qualitative data sets to drive decision making.

Greg is described by his peers as creative, innovative and passionate.

Greg and his wife live in San Diego and spend much of their time in educational and athletic development activities with their two daughters. Greg is a passionate guitarist, and performs in local venues with his classic rock band. A native of Arizona, he also enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, golf, and baseball.

Chris Shimojima

Chris Shimojima, the Pocket Chief Growth Officer, is a marketing-driven CEO with consistent record of revenue and profit growth in competitive and dynamic industries. Skilled at solving broad and complex business issues by combining astute strategic insights with focus on operational excellence, he is passionate about creating a differentiated, breakthrough customer experience.

Chris has led organizations from Fortune 200 corporations to PE-backed companies and start-ups making him uniquely experienced at evolving the organization’s culture by teaching new principles while leveraging it’s innate strengths. Over his thirty year career in industries that spans from consumer packaged goods, telecommunication, athletic footwear & apparel to retail, Chris has created, developed and launched new brands and businesses that have collectively generated over $4 billion in revenue.

Most recently, Chris served as the CEO of Provide Commerce, a $650 million specialty retailer of high quality gifts with its portfolio of well-known brands – ProFlowers, Shari’s Berries, RedEnvelope, Personal Creations and Gifts.com. Chris exited the company following its successful sale to the FTD Group, Inc. in March, 2015.

Before joining Provide Commerce, Chris worked at Nike for six years as the VP/GM of Global Digital Commerce overseeing the company’s e-commerce and the NikeiD mass customization businesses in 24 countries. During his tenure, Chris grew the business 5X into a highly profitable business unit.

From 2001 to 2006, Chris worked at Sears Holdings Inc. where he served as the VP/GM of their direct-to-customer businesses that included Sears.com, Kmart.com, Kenmore.com, Craftsman.com and a portfolio of specialty catalogs.

Chris brings 20+ years of professional experience that is grounded in brand management, direct marketing and ecommerce.  Chris spent the first third of his career with consumer packaged goods and services companies like Tambrands (a P&G unit), Nestlé, Pepsi-Cola, and AT&T.

His career in digital commerce began in 2000 when he signed-on to become the SVP/CMO for an internet start-up – Kozmo.com – that offered “internet to your door in one hour” ecommerce/delivery service.

Chris serves as an independent board director for Aurora Health Care, a $4.5 billion health care system in Wisconsin, where he serves on the Finance Committee. He has also been a member of Gryphon Investors’ (a private equity firm) Executive Advisory Board since 2009. He served as a board director for Xoom Corporation (NASDAQ: Xoom), a global money transfer business, until November 2015 when the company was acquired by Paypal, Inc.

Chris was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Speaks fluent Japanese, graduated Cum Laude from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago. He lives in San Diego with his wife, Shirley.

Dan LeBlanc

As the Pocket Chief Experience Officer, Dan is a co-founder of The Pocket Suite, a boutique consulting firm tasked with helping companies transition from a product centric focus to a customer centric focus. Dan is passionate about applying his expertise in customer experience, marketing, analytics, business technology and systems integration to help companies build a sustainable competitive advantage through the better use of data and understanding of their customer. Dan is uniquely experienced in leveraging data and technology with customer and brand insights by leading the business and technical implementations of new solutions that merge technology, customer experience and analytics into a single view.

Dan served as Vice President of Customer Intelligence and Relationship Management for Provide Commerce, Inc. where he was responsible for consumer insights and research, marketing technology, customer relationship management (CRM) and all product and customer data. Dan helped the company become customer focused by implementing a new segmentation system which increased company revenues by 20%. He also led multiple enterprise wide projects including the implementation of a new CRM platform, a BI platform, and a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform saving the company more than $5MM in annual expenses.

Prior to joining Provide Commerce, Inc., Dan led the implementation of new CRM platforms for AIT Trucking and Champion College Services, portfolio companies of GroundSwell Equity. Dan also led the development of GroundSwellDiagnostics.com a platform for Private Equity to leverage the work of Dr. Eric Flamholtz, author of Growing Pains: Transitioning from an Entrepreneurship to a Professionally Managed Firm and Professor Emeritus of UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.

Dan’s was Director of the Legal Collections arm of Encore Capital Group, a publically traded purchaser and servicer of unsecured consumer debt. Dan started his career at Capital One analyzing credit risk and consumer spending behavior for co-branded partners Kmart, Lowe’s and TJ Maxx.

Dan was born in Switzerland and raised in Toronto after stints in several countries. You can call him a “rocket scientist” having an undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. While not enjoying the San Diego weather you can find Dan visiting one of the many great craft breweries the city has to offer.
